Countless touching personal stories are hiding in the endless sea of documents, certificates, posters, photographs, recordings and movies.
Each of the archive items on the website has its own individual story, but is also connected to a wider composition of topics, figures, events and processes.
The exhibitions on the website provide a different perspective on familiar figures and stories, and raise topics, ideas and thoughts. The items displayed in them can be enlarged, printed, downloaded to your PC and shared on social media.
Clicking on the ‘information’ icon, which appears in items belonging to the digital archive, enables you to receive more information about the item, its source and location in the archive file, unit or series it is saved in. This gives you the opportunity to understand the item’s wider context and to see the complete picture.
We would be happy to hear from you if you have more information about an item displayed in an exhibition: click on the ‘more options’ icon and choose the flag icon. This will open the contact us page with a link to the item.
You can also be a Curator!
The “A-Z” website invites you to be actively involved by creating archives from the existing collections in the website. The tool for creating archives is simple and easily operated.
After registering and opening a user account you will be able to enter the personal area, collect the desired items, add explanations and design them, give the exhibition a name and upload it.
The exhibition you upload may be used as a teaching accessory, for private, family or communal use, or for the website’s users to enjoy.
We hope you enjoy viewing the exhibitions and utilize your creativity by making your own!
